JUL-AUG-SEPT 2008

Dear Christian Friends,

Greetings in the Name above all others, JESUS! We are just recapping what the Lord has had us doing over the past few months. He has had us on the road!

On April 16th my wife and I spoke at Cayuga Prison. We brought in four volunteers with us. It was amazing to see the Lord at work! Prison officials cautioned us about the attendance of two rival gangs during the service BUT GOD took over the service and His peace invaded that chapel! They came to “start something” but God showed up to finish it! When all was said and done six souls came forward to receive Christ and five others came to receive prayer as the Lord touched them and melted away all hostility! Praise our wonderful God! (Ephesians 2:14)

Then on May 3rd I was asked to share my testimony at the Full Gospel Businessman’s breakfast in Rochester, NY. From there we left to attend our ministers’ convention at the Rock Church in Virginia Beach, VA, May 4-7. While in Virginia, I had the honor of speaking at the Iglesia de Dios (Spanish Church of God) where Rev. Benito Fonseca is the pastor. Upon our return we preached a one day revival at the Free Deliverance Church in Rochester, NY (Rev. & Mrs. Ulysses Parris, pastors). Two precious souls came to Christ, one being gloriously delivered from crack cocaine! Halleluiah! (Psalm. 79:9).

June had us on the road again. We spoke in back to back services at Butler Prison. What a blessing to see Him reach down to hungry hearts. Ten came to receive Him as Lord! He is good! We then left to Connecticut to speak in Bridgeport at a Christian rehab program named Pivot (where Rev. Dave Smith is the Executive Director). God gave me a message entitled “The God of All Circumstances” out of Psalms 42. Eight came forward for prayer to renew commitments to love & serve Him We also spoke at a church attached to the Teen Challenge Program in New Haven, CT. During our stay we attended the 50th Anniversary of Teen Challenge in New York City at Times Square Church (where Rev. Dave Wilkerson is the pastor). We went with Rev Harry and Norma Carrillo to celebrate what God has done! (Mark 12:11 & Luke1:1-2). Many Teen Challenge Programs came from across the country as well as abroad, even from the country of Kazakhstan! Praise His Glorious Name! At the end of June we celebrated 32 years of marriage. My, how good He has been to us!

July found us continuing to travel. On July 18th, my wife and I spoke at Great Meadow Prison, about 20 miles east of Lake George, NY. Rev. Eric Payne is the Protestant Chaplain and he invited all the inmates including Muslims and Jews telling them that it was a Christian Summer Revival Service. They came anyway! They listened respectfully. As His Word went forth they were visibly touched! While they did not come forward to receive Jesus it was very apparent that the Holy Spirit was at work! We believe God will continue to touch them with dreams and visions. Two inmates did come forward to reconcile to the Lord, 2 came to receive Christ for the first time and 12 others came to receive healing from His hand. All present were touched by Him in one way or another. Isn’t our God good? We never tire seeing Him save and set people free! During July 23-27 the Lord gave us the privilege of coordinating services for the New Life for Girls Program throughout Monroe & Wayne Counties. They were such a blessing everywhere they went! We thank Living Word (Pastor Barden Gerace), the Nazarene Church (Pastor Montalvo & Mr. & Mrs. Anthony Santiago), The Ark of Jesus Ministries (Bishop & Mrs. David Singleton) and Safe Harbor (Pastors Scott & Nancy Dallas) for having the “girls”. We also thank the following families who hosted them in Rochester and the Wayne County area: the Petroviches, the Ludwigs, the DeVries, the Tandles, Bonnie & Mike. A special thanks to Katherine Catalano for the wonderful luncheon provided. God bless you all!

In August I’ll be one of several speakers at an event called Jam Fest ’08 on the 9th at the Highland Bowl in Rochester, NY from 12 noon until 8:00 PM. This outdoor evangelistic event will have several Christian bands and will benefit the needy of the community. Then on the 31st my wife and I will be traveling again having the opportunity to speak at New Life for Girls in Dover, PA.

September 21-24th I’ll be in New York City again speaking and evangelizing in Brooklyn and Spanish Harlem in one of my “old hangouts”.

As you can see we earnestly desire your prayers for souls and safe travel as He sends us into the highways and byways.

We thank you so much for all your prayers and support for the work at hand. May God richly bless you.

BE ENCOURAGED IN THE LORD! (PSALM 118: 14-16)

Your servants in Christ,

Herman & Sandra
